4. GStreamer-Based Components¶

Listed below are the components used alongside Elecard Codecworks. Every entry contains a general description as well as description for pad/element properties:

  • a pad is a component’s output that churns out a single stream. One component can have multiple pads, thus creating multiprofile streaming;

  • an element is a parameter of the component itself. These parameters are applied directly to the input stream, then it enters the pads (multiple profiles).
